  • The Ides of March: An Uprising to Save the Earth

    This podcast won The New York Times’ Student Podcast Contest in 2019. While attending a massive climate strike in New York City on March 15th, 2019, I interviewed multiple student activists interested in making their voices and concerns heard.

    Published in Journalism Education Association’s Winter 2019 issue, this article explores the split in the environmental community on when climate education should be taught in the k-12 curriculum.

  • A Fight for Mother Nature: Why Female Students are Now Leading the Climate Movement


    This article, written in August of 2019, consists of three separate interviews with student leaders and activists in the Environmental and LGBTQIA+ Movements. Questions were asked about why we are seeing female students now take more visible roles as leaders and how social media affects this phenomenon to more deeply understand the relationship between gender and environmentalism.
